AUTOSCAN / HELP & GUIDES

Prepare an Original ECU File for AutoScan

Check the original ECU read, file type, 17 MB upload limit and reading-tool details before creating an AutoScan file request.

Keep an untouched original

Keep a backup of the original read before you start a request. Identify the vehicle, ECU and programming tool that produced it. A filename may help with identification, but it cannot establish that the contents are the right read.

Choose one supported file

The initial request accepts one ECU file up to 17 MB. Select the file produced by your reading tool; photos and videos are not ECU reads. Ask support if you are unsure about the required file or reading method.

Review before confirming

The request workflow lets you review the selected file, vehicle details and service. The local filename suggestion is a draft: check the fields and complete missing information before submission.
